Kluney Manor was constructed by Captain Macpherson as a Summer Holiday Home way back in 1828. It later served as a summer resort home for the Maharaja of Patna for several years.
It was during the British era when Capt. McPherson of the British Army first visited Ooty with his fellow pioneers. He was given the daunting task to build the first road ever from the plains of South India to connect to Ooty. It took them several years to complete the first link road between Ooty and the plains after careful mapping out of every treacherous turn and curve and carefully negotiating the building-size rocks for the highway.
After much effort and toil, their success spread and Her Majesty the Queen was so impressed with their work that she rewarded Captain Macpherson and his lieutenants with a vast tract of land in the area where this Imposing Mansion stands.
Kluney Manor was later converted into a Heritage Hotel giving customers an opportunity to experience the true royal charm of the days of yore.
Kluney Manor is situated in the close proximity to the magnificent Ooty Lake and just 15 minutes from the main bus stand and Railway station and 10 minutes from the city centre, the scenic Botanical Gardens and the Ooty Boat House. It is 100 kms away from the Coimbatore Airport.
Kluney Manor Hotel features 36 Suites and Cottages categorized as Emperor and Empress Suites, King and Queen Suites, Duke and Duchess Suites, Prince and Princess Suites including Count and Countess Suites. All these suites feature elegant décor and refined comforts reflecting the royalty and luxury of a bygone colonial era.

The Emperor and Empress Suite, King and Queen Suite including Duke and Duchess Suites are placed within the main building of this Heritage House. One of the corners of the Mansion feature lovely cottages where the Prince and Princess and Count & Countess are perfectly placed.
The Lounge area of Kluney Manor overlooks the well trimmed gardens where you can enjoy your drinks while listening to the soothing pianists playing a few of the famous compositions.
Kluney Manor features a multi-cuisine restaurant that serves a variety of delicacies whereas The Le'Cluney Hall is where guests can meet to dine together within an imperial ambience.
